whizzed down for breakfast and then moved packed luggage to the limited rooms allocated to us for the day. Then we all waited with baited breath to see each other's fancy dress costumes........and we were not disappointed! A wonderful array of costumes were on show from Tweedledee and Tweedledum to cops and criminals, fairies to fruit, telly tubbies to various animals and even a tin of baked beans and a sausage roll! Topped off by the teachers who were the 7 dwarves minus Snow White (we blame eBay delivery). Today is all about having lots of fun and fun they had!
Groups 1, 2 and 3 explored even more of the Pal sector whilst 4 and 5 took the cable car to Arinsal where they had a go on the funpark doing jumps and the boxes.
After lunch we all took the chair lift up to Pla de la Cot for a big group photo which turned into a snow fight before a leisurely ski back down to end the day.
It was then all systems go as we got down to the bottom of the Gondola to change out of our ski boots, return skis, boots, poles and helmets before our final departure from La Masanna. Although Mrs Holland decided to make a return a trip back to retrieve her brand new sunglasses (oops)! Then it was time to get 43 students and 6 staff showered and ready for the travel ahead with just 5 rooms to share. Students were separated into four groups and older students were assigned each group to ensure shower times were stuck to so we could have a quick turn around. It was like a military operation with yr 12's, 11's and 10's setting their timers and keeping the younger years on track. All of you were a great help but shout out to Shae who stood with her phone counting down the 5 minutes per shower and taking no prisoners when their time was up. We could not have gotten through the showers without you guys so a huge thank you!
Then after taking all bags to the foyer it was time for our last meal which was a range of treats from burgers to nuggets and even tacos. It has been fantastic to see our students take a break from their phones at all meal times, they have made us really proud and we think it has done them good as they chatted to their friends about their days. The team have had a great feed and are now 70km away from Toulouse in a town called Foix on the N20......not that any of them would know as they are all fast asleep.
Sleep well Snow Patrol!
