Day 8 - Homebound

All is quiet on board our AVA Coach. keV and Shaun have done a Stirling job of getting us through France, we are about 40 minutes from Reims. We will be having breakfast at about 8.00am local time.

Well we arrived in good time to Calais only to find we had been moved to the 15.15 FDFS ferry. For the inconvenience we all have had a meal voucher. We have now set sail and are about to leave the harbour, 15:26 local time

Just approaching Dover harbour.
We are currently heading norh on the M1 and are 1 hour from school. This has been a perfect trip. The students have truly been amazing and have had an amazing experience. The icing on the cake would be if everyone was collected promptly on our arrival. If parents can be at school for 8pm and keep gate 1 clear, we all will be most grateful. We will get all the bags off first to allow the students to leave efficiently and safely.

We will add more photos and pages in the coming days. We hope to launch trip 2023 and 2024 very soon

Remember what Warren Miller always said, "If you don't ski this year you'll be one year older when you do"

This has been a fabulous trip, so until next time...

Day 6 - Back to Bormio, going higher and the SPA

It was an early 7.15am breakfast again followed by a trio down the valley on our coach to Bormio. This will be our last visit before finishing our skiing back in Santa Caterina. on Thursday We met up with our instructors shortly after 9.00am. Today all groups explored the mountain runs above Bormio 2000. Group 3 had to get used to their new instructor, Mauritzio. He was keen on improving their technique while they continued to explore the upper mountain, they took several trips to Bormio 3000m where the snow was just simple perfect.

Lunch was a lovely relaxing setting once more. Less music but lots of deckchairs out to soak up the relaxing atmosphere before the final Bormio session.

Afternoon pictures and videos

Our afternoon was finished with most of the group treated to the Bormio therm. The SPA was absolutely beautiful and well appointed. The students and staff enjoyed the swim and relaxation in a variety of the pools. Lots enjoyed the water slide and the lazy river. A perfect way to end the Bormio experience. We were able to swim out side and take in views of where we had been skiing that day on the mountain.

Having left the SPA we met up with the rest of the Snow Patrol and headed for the supermarket before returning to our exceptional hotel. skis are now already for the last day in the ski locker under the hotel.
