New York - Land Mark Cruise

We all had a well earned sleep at the Four Points N To C. The breakfast was amazing. We even had fresh waffles. Mr Lee and Mr Hinks were pleased to see the return of apple wood smoked crispy bacon.😁

Our coach is waiting to take us to the Hudson River for our Land Mark Cruise.

We are at pier 82 Circle Line

After a lovely cruise down to Staten Island and back we headed for the 911 memorial gardens to take in the Tower 2 reflection pool. There were 6 white roses on tower 2 today. We the grabbed some lunch and a little but of shopping from Brookfield Place. Rob our driver is navigating NYC to get us to JFK in good time for our flight back to the UK.

We got to JFK in good time. This was good as security was slow.

We had a very strong and landed 35 minutes early. A bumpy ride but fast!

Just waiting for our coach to be released. We are coming directly to school. Students have been into M&S foods.
We are getting on the M25 on our Robinson's coach. The drivers SAT back says we will be back for 10.20am so if all parents are at school for 10.30am that would be fantastic. Please keep gate 3 clear.

New York - New York

Today we saying good bye to Waterville Valley and setting off for New York. We had to be up bright and early for breakfast at the conference centre.

Our premier coach picked us up for 8am. We managed to find some bargains at the Merryvale Outlets. Lots of good discounts with a reasonably weak dollar. Everyone managed to find plenty of nice eats for their lunches too. I think the QMHS Snow Patrol particularly like the Dairy Queen sort. Mmm Blizzard ice creams

We will keep placing edits on Instagram as they get done. ( qmhssnowpatrol ).

The weather has improved, we are aiming to be in Lower Manhattan by 5.00m for a 5.30pm tour.

After a quick pit stop we have New York insight.

The famous skyline is in sight. LaGuardia direction to the city....

Getting closer

One World Observatory
World Trade Tower

We spent a thoughtful and tranquil hour wandering around reflection pool one with pupils showing their respect in a beautiful, mature manner; white roses are laid every day to mark the birthday of those who lost their life- Jorgie counted 11 today. Following this we then went to the top of the Freedom Tower in the fastest lift we've ever taken to be treated by the beautiful Manhattan Skyline. Plenty of opportunities to get the perfect selfie and work on the 'nonchalant' pose. We had a really lovely time reflecting, remembering and creating new memories. After this it was time to check in to our Four Seasons by Sheraton Hotel, not the roomy apartments of Waterville Valley but perfect for our overnight stop over. Not that the group had much time to relax, we dropped our bags and headed straight to The Hard Rock Cafe, New York which is right in the madness of Times Square! Everyone had a great time looking at old music memorabilia and eating some fantastic food- a real American burger was top of the food list for most whilst others tucked into the chicken sandwiches and salad. Then it was time for yet more shopping; Hard Rock shop followed by I Heart NY and lastly a trip to Target!! We had a very lively and loud trip around Times Square in between all the shopping! As we say goodnight to the city that never sleeps   it's fair to say that Snow Patrol have had a fantastic adventure today.
