Homebound

Having spent five fantastic days skiing in Santa Caterina we had to say Caio to Luca, Orieta and their wonderful family at the Hotel Abete Blu. Their hospitality would be hard to be beaten anywhere. All students and staff were treated to hand made pizza and cakes by Luca.
Ash and Rob had loaded the coach for our prompt departure after our last meal together on the trip. We left Santa Caterina at 19.45 local time.

We are just stopping for a toilet stop; not far from Calais.
Rob and Ash our Ridley's drivers are doing great.
Ferry Delay...
We have been moved to a later ferry again. Our ferry slot is now 13.55 local time. Once we have picked up our feeder driver we will update everyone on our ETA at QMHS.
Calais to Dover

We are about to disembark the ferry. We will say bye to our drivers, Rob and Ash. Once we have out feeder driver sorted we will inform parents through this medium, twitter and students.

Luca the owner of Abete Blu has sent us the following picture. Taken today. They are missing us already. Bluebird in Santa Caterina. ❤️
Simon our driver has agreed to take the Snow Patrol straight through to QMHS. So if all parents could leave gate 1 clear; so that the coach can be safely pulled on to the car park that would be most appreciated. Please collect your children from school at the slightly later time of 7.15pm please. We have all had a fantastic time I think students and staff have earned a take away tonight so let's all get away promptly please. πŸ‘⛷️🚠

  1. From Mrs. H: Welcome back to Blighty everyone! Lovely Channel/White Cliffs pics. It looks as though Mr. H (and Bode too most likely) has his sights on a takeaway laterπŸ‘. Well-earned though I'd say! Happy hols and happy days.
As the great Warren Miller once said of skiing, if you don't do it this year, you will be one year older when you do.❤️ Until next time folks... 😊
