Ski Day 1 - Tika Taka Tika Taka

Let's go ski

Students were promptly down to breakfast for 07:30 and fueled themselves for the mornings ski lessons. Having made up the packed lunches we all set off for the slopes. The two minute ride down the slopes to the gondola was swift... unlike the queue for the lift!

I think a few of us got the layering system a little wrong! We even had double thermal leggings! Everyone will have learnt their lesson for tomorrow!

Having reached the top of the Grafenbergbahn gondola we groups off into our 3 ski groups. We have Tom with our more experience group, Amon with our early intermediates and Dan with our beginners. All have done a great job today.

Tom with his group. They will count to 12 in German by the end of the week! and...

Having made a few adjustments and some refreshments the groups set off again to explore the mountain.

You know what Warren Miller said..."Once you take your first ride up a lift your life will be changed forever"

Evening entertainment

After another excellent meal, really nice chicken and roasted veg plus chips and doughnuts and fruit  for pudding, both schools met up for a quiz run by Lucy our excellent PGL representative. It was great to see the QMHS students and CCHS students mixing well and competing as mixed groups. we also awarded two splat hats, the Jinx and dude hats too. Some great reenactments, well done Bobby and Freya.

CCHS Splat = Freya
QMHS Splat = Prabjot

CCHS - The Jinx = Ryan - thanks Alex
QMHS - The Dude = Ana

We will post aspects of the day on Twitter @snowsportsqm as each day unfolds.
