To the mountain
After a good nights sleep everyone got ready bright and early for a 7.30am ride to the South Ridge Lodge here at Sunday River on a traditional American school bus.
The weather conditions we were met with, was unexpected for this time of year. Today we have had lots of snow and sleet; so with the spring temperatures the snow was challenging.
On arrival we had breakfast at the South Lodge cafeteria. Students had plenty of choice, eggs, potato bits, sausage, cereals, fruit, toast, hot chocolate, fruit juice, milk and Starbucks! Mr. Hinks was pleased!
Ski fit was efficient and everyone was ready for a 10.00am start. Students skied in 4 groups but we later was able to split into smaller groups as the resort put on extra instructors. Everyone has progressed really well today considering the conditions were challenging. We have had lots of wipe outs and it will be interesting to see who wins todays splats hat.

Oxford lane - Skittles
This evening the group had some fun playing traditional skittles. No one was really sure of the scoring process or number balls per go! So we made it up but had fun.
